Construction of new container terminal in the Port of Quetzal (Guatemala) ]
In order to ensure that the Port of Quetzal continues to be a leading port in the Central American Pacific area and that its productivity and performance improves significantly, the project aims to guarantee the optimisation of the port land and the use of new technologies in order to obtain modern and safe infrastructures that meet the established quality standards.
Subject to a FIDIC contract, the action consists of the construction of a new terminal for 350,000 TEUs. It has a 350-metre-long docking front and a 16.00-metre draft. The terminal has a logistics area covering a total area of 14 hectares, where the container storage area and the service buildings required for the port’s operations are distributed.
